Hey there coffee lovers, have you ever wanted to make a barista-level cup of coffee right in the comfort of your own home? Well, look no further because the Aquach Pour Over Coffee Maker set is the perfect addition to your coffee bar or counter.
First things first, let's talk about the setup of this coffee maker. The sleek and professional design will definitely catch your eye and impress your guests. The wood stand and glassware create a beautiful aesthetic that will complement any kitchen or coffee bar.
Now, onto the coffee itself. For this review, we used a sample of our Mexican Chiapas blend. We poured a single 1.5oz sample into the pour-over filter. We then spread out the grounds to make a "hole". It's important to make a small hole in the middle of the coffee grounds to help the coffee bloom properly. This allows for the water to penetrate and help the gases in the coffee to escape and allows for better extraction of flavor.
Next, we used an electric kettle to heat up the water to 180 degrees Fahrenheit. We let the water cool for a couple of minutes before using it to brew the coffee, so the coffee doesn't burn (and we don't burn our mouth!). It's important to note the temperature of water for brewing coffee, as it affects the taste and extraction of flavor.
After pouring the water over the coffee, we waited for it to brew. It took about 5 minutes to brew 2 ½ cups of coffee. While waiting, we noticed that the metal filter brewed the coffee smoothly without any grounds getting into the coffee. The best part is that you don't need a paper filter, making this whole process zero waste and more eco-friendly.
When the coffee was finally ready to be poured, we were impressed by the top of the pour-over. It allowed us to gently and smoothly pour the coffee into a mug without any mess or splashbacks.
And now, the moment we've all been waiting for, how did the coffee taste? Let me tell you, it was strong and smooth, with the acidity perfectly balanced. It made a phenomenal cup of coffee, better than a French press or mocha pot in my opinion.
Now, onto the cleanup. The filter was SO easy to clean. The coffee grounds were easy to knock out, and when ran under water, it was perfectly clean in seconds. No coffee grounds were stuck in the metal filter. We also noted that the glass on the mug/bottom part of the pour-over is thick and sturdy, making it easy to clean as well.
Overall, we believe that the Aquach Pour Over Coffee Maker set is a great purchase, well worth every penny. It's perfect for people who want a strong cup of coffee and enjoy the process of making a cup of joe. So, if you're a coffee lover looking to up your coffee game, definitely consider getting the Aquach Pour Over Coffee Maker set.
